September 23, 2014A Note from Lindsey Christ, Executive Director:
I just want to say thank you for the time I have had with Camp Wyandot, Inc. I have met some wonderful people and I am amazed at how selfless and giving you all are to this organization. Having worked in the non-profit field since 1997, I can truly say I have yet to encounter a non-profit with such dedicated staff, volunteers, members, and Board of Directors. I’m happy to say the organization is moving in the right direction with solid financials and a clear direction. I have enjoyed my time with the organization and know it will only continue to flourish!
An Introduction from the new Executive Director, Greg Kellison:
When I accepted the offer to become the next Executive Director of Camp Wyandot, I did so with a combined sense of respect, excitement and challenge.
I respect the legacy of Camp Wyandot, its history and heritage, and the ways the camp experience has positively impacted the lives of so many people. I’m excited about having the opportunity to lead Camp Wyandot as an ever increasing number of young people experience only what camp can offer, and I am mindful and energized about the challenge in terms of raising the awareness and resources necessary to insure that Camp Wyandot remains and continues to grow as a viable, sustainable resource for future generations of campers.
I bring a blend of experience to this position which includes leadership from both the corporate world as well as the non-profit community. I have been and continue to be a volunteer for several organizations, and I have deep admiration for those who give of their time, talent and treasure in volunteer capacities. I have also been and continue to serve as a Board member for two non-profit and church-related organizations, and I have great respect for those who serve in these capacities.
While my professional life has taken me all over the United States and Europe, I was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. My undergraduate degree is from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana, and my graduate work was done at Indiana University. I believe in continuing education, and I am currently enrolled in a CFRE accreditation program. My hobbies and interests include reading, cooking, traveling and lots of OSU Basketball (and not necessarily in that order!).
Finally, I believe that open, honest communication is crucial to the success of any organization. I’m looking forward to building strong working relationships with everyone associated with Camp Wyandot.
