April 18, 2012Alumni like Susan Buttermore can really make a difference!
As you may know, our aging sewage waste system is being replaced. The new system will be in complete compliance with EPA regulations. This is a costly endeavor and we have had to raise close to $80,000 to cover the cost. We are greatly appreciative of those who have donated so far: $20,000 from Harriett ‘Betsy’ Fletcher Bequest, $10,100 from theCampFiresupporters who donated during the Big Give Campaign of the Columbus Foundation, $7,000 from the Northwest Kiwanis Club, $5,000 from the Harry C. Moores Foundation, and $1,200 the Green Trees Camp Fire Club. However, the largest donation came from Susan Buttermore, a long-time alumnus and volunteer, of $30,000. We are extremely thankful to Susan for coming through with her donation which made it possible for us to move forward with this important upgrade at camp.
Spring Alumni Mailing
Our annual spring alumni mailing went out to about 1,300 alumni at the beginning of the month with the help of following volunteers: Nikki Spretnak, Sally Dellinger, Mary Vance, Sue Lavitchka, and Janet Cincone.
