March 31, 2016This summer we are going to pilot a day camp that serves the area and many commuters around the Hocking and Fairfield County areas. The Camp Wyandot Day Camp will be held at the overnight camp in the Hocking Hills for the six weeks that the camp is operating the summer program. Campers will range in age from 6 to 12 (Entering 1st-7th grades). The current plan is to run a shuttle from RT.33 to camp each day. Campers will have their own separate program and base for operation but will be able to participate in all the activities Camp Wyandot has to offer. We will continue to have a Weal program for a small number of teens, aged 13-15(Entering 8th-10th grades). Please check the website throughout the week for more information! As you probably know we were unable to find a site in the Columbus area for a day camp this summer but will continue to explore sites and work with the Metropolitan Parks and other organizations for planning the summer of 2017. We welcome any ideas you might have for next year when we may operate more than one day camp.
