In Memoriam, Alicia Eckhart

We are saddened by the passing of Dr. Alicia Eckhart, the City of Fairborn’s parks and recreation director on February 14, 2020. 

Alicia was a Bluebird, a Camp Fire Girl, and camper at day camp and Camp Wyandot.  As Alicia’s Camp Fire leader, her mother, Millie Eckhart, took the girls to Camp Wyandot for winter camping.  Alicia’s father, Pete, a Camp Wilson alumni, became a Camp Fire father and served on our board of directors.  The Eckhart family loved Camp Wyandot, and made generous donations to preserve camp for others.  The family’s keystone donation to the New Egypt campaign was one of the donations that allowed us to begin construction. 

Several of our alumni attended Alicia’s memorial service in Columbus on Saturday. 

The family asks that donations in memory of Alicia be made to Camp Wyandot, Inc.
