Several projects are already underway this Spring down at Camp Wyandot. The biggest one being renovations to Hoskins cabin on Cabin Row. Vicki Sherman and her crew have been working the past several weekends on remodeling Hoskins kitchen. They have removed and replaced all cabinets and countertops. The kitchen will have a new layout, including a closet added to the far wall (where the bathroom was looooong ago). This closet will house medical supplies and records for overnight camp and will free up more space in the kitchen area. In addition to the kitchen, Chuck has begun working on the bathroom. With the new closet going in to the kitchen, the current location of the toilet and sink will no longer work. So the bathroom is being reconfigured in the other space and will include all new fixtures and flooring. Here are some before and during photos… after photos should be coming next month!
Some other big projects set to be finished this spring are the kitchen in Cooks Cabin. Sandy Clapp and company will be coming down in May to help complete that project. All new layout, cabinets, flooring and appliances will give Cooks a nice updated feel. There will also be new sump pumps going into the sewer system and as well as a new flow meter. Construction on the final phase of Egypt is also scheduled to begin this year!
Stay tuned for updates!
