Our existing clubs have been focusing on some great projects The Sunny Blue Flies Adventure Club took a field trip to the Grange Insurance Audubon Center in the fall. The Viga Snar Tiwars Adventure Club is making a music video that they will be posting on youtube and will be making their own webpage after the first of the year. Our Starflight club in Grove City led by Shelley Bowyer and Michelle Sherrick worked on the National Project: Project Handclasp. The purpose of this project is to learn about people of other countries and see what can be done to help. They focused on the conflict in the Gaza Strip and created Home Health Care Kits to donate to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) for people suffering in this conflict. They learned about the reason for the conflict and what life is like for children living in this area (rocket drills, unable to attend school due to damaged building, etc.). They also learned a few words from the languages spoken in that region. They also learned about the geographical location, religions, conflicts, and how it impacts children. The picture to the left is from this club.
