Quiz: What volunteer event is hard work, fun, and fellowship in a beautiful fall setting?
Answer: Fall Work Day, of course! But it might also be Tidy Up Day!
Closing Camp in the fall is just as important as opening it for the summer! We appreciate our wonderful Fall Work Day Volunteers, who come to camp every September to close camp and prepare her for winter, as well as working on new projects and needed repairs!
This year we will also have Tidy Up Day. Camp Wyandot has been working in cooperation with an organization called ARC of Appalachia, on our Cline Farm Project. And this fall, ARC of Appalachia is having their annual donor appreciation event at Camp Wyandot on September 17. We are happy to host their event, and some of their members may have never seen our beautiful camp before, so it will be a great way to get to further know each other.
To prepare for the ARC Annual Event at Camp Wyandot, we want to do some tidying up! So we will have two work days this year – Fall Work Day on September 9, and Tidy Up Day on September 16. We hope our volunteers will support us by coming to one or both events!
We provide lunch, so please register, and indicate on the registration form, whether you will attend Fall Work Day on September 9, or Tidy Up Day on September 16, OR BOTH! so we can plan ahead. If you have special skills and talents, please note that on your Fall Work Day registration. Tidy Up Day will involve cleaning and organizing, so come to either or both events, ready to help. Staying over until Sunday, September 10 is optional!
