November 22, 2016Egypt Progress
While are putting the finishing touches on the new boy’s side of Egypt and we sent a letter out about phase two, the girls side. To date our contributions, we have raised about half of what we need to complete this phase. If you are interested in donating something to help us reach our goal to finish Egypt please let us know or send your donation to the office. We would like to start it so it will be done in time for the girls to use it next summer.
Every little bit helps.
“My Story” at the Luncheon
It was so nice to see so many familiar faces at the Luncheon this year. Even though the numbers were very good we missed seeing some regulars. Sorry if you were unable to be there. We shared stories at each table about how we first became connected with Camp Wyandot. For some it was the first time and others had years of memories. We shared some thoughts from campers, CITS’s staff and alumni on what impact Camp Wyandot has had on them. Some remember being homesick the first few days of summer camp and some shared memories of their first years at camp with their Camp Fire group. Fittingly, Jenny Morgan sang one of her songs “Letter to Home” and we all sang Long, Long Trail. I shared some information on today’s campers and the new construction that helps us continue to provide a quality experience with life-long memories.
I want to personally want to thank those that volunteered in some way for the luncheon and to everyone for their continued support to Camp Wyandot, Inc. Like the Alumni Weekend, this luncheon is something I look forward to each year.
