Survey: Naming the Sioux Tebins
May 20, 2024Welcome to Camp!
June 18, 2024We are sorry to receive the sad news that Edward A. Psurny, age 54, of Lewis Center, Ohio, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Ed was a research chemist with Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus. He was a sprint car driver for many years and as an outdoorsman, loved to hunt and fish with his brother John, cousin Jay, and nephews Clay and Garrett. A passionate fisherman, especially with college buddies, he was a member of Central Ohio Chapter 41 of Muskies, Inc. He also loved to camp and hang out with his “Framily,” (his friends-so-close-they’re-family), cook, especially Christmas cookies, and build furniture.
Ed was often the glue that held his family together, always willing to help anyone with any project. You could often find him at sporting and marching band events cheering on his son, niece and nephews.
Jessica Pierfelice writes: “His son, Ethan, was a camper at Camp Wyandot. Even once Ethan no longer attended, Ed continued to donate time and money to Camp Wyandot. He was a board member, served on the facility committee and would help Chuck with camp maintenance. I’ve worked with him for 16 years and just can’t believe he is gone.”
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Meekers Venue, 385 E William St. Delaware, OH 43015.
Condolences may be expressed to the family at underwood funeral home.
