May 29, 2010The Tigers that Eat Pizza Starflight Club from Dublin, Hilliard and the west side (grades 1-3) held a yard sale fundraiser to earn their “Gift of Giving” emblem. The boys and girls had to decide what event they wanted to hold and who the proceeds would benefit. They spent five meetings planning, preparing, pricing, working and celebrating. The event was a huge success. They collected donations from their family and Central Ohio Council members which raised more than $500.00. The kids chose to give the money to five worthy organizations: Camp Fire USA Central Ohio Council, The Homeless Families Foundation, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Make a Wish, and Haiti Earthquake Relief.
