It is a beautiful Wednesday night at Camp Wyandot and very quiet in camp. There is a nest of baby birds singing on my porch and about one hundred and thirty fire campers and staff are out in the woods on an overnight. They are cooking everything from stir-fry and pie iron pizzas to hotdogs. We sent a group of Rovers (Backpackers) out this afternoon for two days. The storms of a few days ago are gone and only a little mud remains. Otonwe is also having an overnight tonight after a Ohio Wildlife presentation in their “Go Wild” theme. We have topped 100 for this summer at this northern day camp.  Wyandot is pretty full all summer except where we could take more campers of a certain gender or age. We found a cook after the one we hired didn’t show and she is doing great. We could use a few adult universal life jackets if anyone as some they no longer want. The Wyandot staff are doing both Wyandot and Otonwe so we could use a few more staff as well.  It is great to see so many happy campers singing camp songs and enjoying the fun. Luige (Connie)
