Camp Wyandot: The First Quarter Century, written by Catherine Nichols, will take you from the 1928 platform tents to the building of the wooden cabins on cabin row.  The book tells of the building of the Staff Lodge by a group of volunteers over several weekends.  Lake Atagahi, the Dining Hall, the Hospital, and the Nature Cabin were all funded and built between 1929 and 1945.  It conveys the difficulty of raising money to pay off the mortgage during the Great Depression.

Step back to the beginning and meet the people who gave time, energy, and money to bring us Camp Wyandot.  Read about how things were before there was running water and electricity in camp.  Share the joy when reading about activities, songs, and programs, some of which continue to this day.  The founders and others who have volunteered through the years would be glad to know that the work of keeping children connected to nature continues.

To purchase a copy of the book, fill out the form below.  The cost is $30 per book.  You will be able to select to pick up your order at the 2022 Luncheon, at the office on High Street, or shipped for a book rate of $6 per book.
