The annual Camp Wyandot luncheon was a success thanks to all of you! This year’s theme was UNSTOPPABLE, a word that described our summer and also our efforts to create a valuable event for our camp alums. We were pleased to be able to gather virtually and celebrate a heroic summer 2020. Thanks to all of those who attended and donated, we raised a total of $26,288. (Our silent auction items earned $2,398, camp store sales were $819, and donations were $24,460.) By using a virtual platform, we were able to have friends attend the luncheon from all over the country!
A fundraising professional advised us that this was an amazing accomplishment, because we came close to our prior year fundraising total of approximately $29,000. Most organizations who had to shift their big annual event to a virtual format raised half or less compared to their 2019 live event. We learned a lot, and we depended heavily on you, our supporters, to be willing to try new things, log onto Zoom and bid on items online. Thank you, thank you! You came through!
