Connect Kids to Camp: Camperships
March 13, 2014Vicki Nolan – Dedicated Volunteer Passes
March 13, 2014Join us as we prepare camp for the spring season. Bring your family and friends for a nice spring weekend in the Hocking Hills! There is no cost to attend but you will be working. You have the option to arrive Friday and stay until Sunday, come Saturday just for the day, or stay over Saturday night.
Agenda:
(4/25)-Friday evening, snack provided and mingle with other volunteers
(4/26)-Saturday morning, breakfast served
Work day begins around 9:30 am after breakfast and concludes at 6:00 pm, lunch will be provided.
Saturday evening, dinner served
(4/27)-Sunday morning, breakfast served
The main job will be cleaning all the cabins, units, and shower houses for upcoming user groups. In addition, we will be unwinterizing the dining hall, screens to repair or replace, raking and clearing trails, stacking firewood, and fire rings to clean. As this is a “work weekend,” children should be able to participate with the work projects as well and should be 10 years old or older to attend.
We are also looking for donations of the following tools:
Router, wrenches (socket sets), screw drivers (philips and flat), circular saw, table saw, and c-clamps
